Meal planning starts with a seemingly simple step, but a hard one – Mindset.
What is mindset? The established set of attitudes held by someone.
To me it is almost always about challenging my current view of the world. This goes to a lot of aspects of my life. I am on a constant jouney to grow and expand my mindset – my view of my world! Letting go of the safe space of status quo and step into the arena!
As Brene Brown says: “The willingness to show up changes us, it makes us a little braver each time.”
What does this have to do with Meal Prep, you ask?
It all starts with the being aware as you cook, plan, prep and eat your food.
Taking a moment to acknowledge how you feel after eating something.
Taking time to actually plan your meals.
Stopping for a moment to notice the smiles on the faces of those around you eating.
Enjoying the moment when you cook…how it smells and how it tastes.
Acknowledging how creative you are.
These little moments in time are small moments on their own, but when you combine them into a whole a Huge change happens!!
You are now conscious of your relationship with food. Mic drop!
This is massive! By acknowledging the relationship, you now are aware of the choices in front of you and you are aware you had them all along.
You are in control of your own health!
How amazing is this? Congrats, by the way!! You Rock!!
Now that you are aware, you can’t unsee it! Thus, every moment you lean in and make conscious decision on what, when and how you eat it leads to the next step, the next moment…you are off and running.
Like Darren Hardy says: “Small, Smart Choices + Consistency + Time = RADICAL DIFFERENCE”
As you stop to be aware of the benefits and the rewards, you can slowly change your habits.
