Watch Tara on HHW TV
Tara’s love for radio and television broadcasting started with two ghetto blasters, RCA microphone and a homemade basement studio. This love of communication has taken her on quite the journey and lead to opportunities to work in journalism, post-production and advertising. After completing her education in broadcast journalism at Loyalist College, Tara started her career as a television and radio reporter. Five years later she moved over to post-production and then transitioned into the agency world of advertising. This is where she has spent the past decade. During this time Tara has been a freelancer for a variety of agencies such as Zulu Alpha Kilo, Sandbox WW, LG2 Toronto and DDB, to name a few. During this time, she has produced creative content for cinema, television, radio, digital and experiential events.
In, 2002 Tara spent the year touring the country as Miss Canada Int’l as a goodwill ambassador. She was Canada’s representative at Miss World in South Africa where she had the honour to speak with Former President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela. She has been part of fundraising and awareness for charitable events across Canada.
In 2016 Tara founded Just For Styles, in honour of her dear friend Ashlie Styles who spent 15 years in the beauty and spa industry. Just For Styles is fundraiser for
Look Good Feel Better. Look Good Feel Better is a charitable organization that offers beauty workshops in hospitals across Canada and internationally. These workshops offer support, productions and beauty products to women going through cancer treatment.
